Step 2: PROMPT Technique Practicum Project

This self-study project will provide you an opportunity to showcase and improve your ability to apply the PROMPT assessment, plan treatment and implement your treatment plan. You are required to choose a client on your caseload, record a 3-minute spontaneous sample, complete the System Analysis Observation (SAO), choose three priorities on the Motor Speech Hierarchy (MSH), complete the Development of Motor Speech Goals and Session Development form and record you implementing your treatment plan with your client. Once submitted, you receive detailed constructive feedback and recommendations regarding your assessment, treatment planning and treatment implementation skills, which includes technique. This project is not pass/fail, but is required for you to complete before you move on to the PROMPT Certification Project.

You must have completed the Introduction to the PROMPT Technique course to be eligible to register for PROMPT Technique Practicum Project. The Technique Self-Study Project may be completed at any time between Introduction and Certification, but it is highly recommended to complete the project prior to taking Bridging.
